Teapot ~ Limestone Wood Fired

A classic teapot, made from a beautiful wood fired Limestone. This lovely teapot was fired at Rahu Road Pottery Studio earlier this year. Each handle & trivet is handmade by ZIZOU.

This teapot holds 4 cups worth of water, we measured each vessel together one Sunday afternoon while sharing Christmas cake at my home in Island Bay.

  • Kat Wheatley is a maker based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. She hand-crochets bags made from natural raffia under the name ZIZOU. Her work is practical and enduring, with each piece a unique labour of love. Made entirely by hand, Kat experiments with crochet techniques and dyes to create distinctive designs and patterns.

  • Pickup Available from Island Bay. Each piece will be packed carefully and can be shipped around the country.

I approached Kat looking for another maker to collaborate with ~ a weaver working slowly & carefully. I’ve admired Kat’s work for a long time, beautifully crocheted bags from hand dyed raffia. The result is a completely handmade product, each one with its own personality.
